Reactions
- Why do some people who are deficient in a mineral have a negative response when introducing the mineral to their body, and why does potassium gluconate sometimes help ease the reaction? Does the potassium interfere and slow down progress with the minerals?
- I'm having a reaction from iodine, what do I do?
- I take 1 drop of the iodine. But I have bad headaches. I really want to keep going and take the selenium now. Should I?
- Can I expect to wean myself off the potassium gluconate as my body adjusts?
- What form of potassium do you recommend I supplement with when I have reactions? Is there a brand of potassium gluconate that you recommend?
- Is weight gain and acne a possible side effect?
- You suggest everyone treats as though hypothyroidism is present from the start. How do you know a reaction is not due to hyperthyroid instead of vitamin deficiency?
- I woke up with a horrible headache. I have taken the potassium iodine for 3 days. Could that be the reason? Should I stop taking the iodine?
- I don't like being on a statin. Are you aware of alternatives that can manage cholesterol levels?
- How long do the side effects last?
- Is coffee detrimental in any way throughout the program?
- So my wife is on iodine, selenium, molybdenum, B2. It seems to make her quite tired sometimes. How long is this likely to go on for any ideas? Days, weeks, months?
- About two weeks ago, I finally started on the B12. After the fifth day I woke up not feeling that great mentally. Any thoughts on what might be happening or happened?
- My fatigue has seemed to ramp up quite a bit since starting B12. With my low potassium levels, would it be best to go with a lower dose and take it less frequently initially?
- I’ve been having migraines the last month or so and never had them before and I was forgetting to take my potassium. Is this what’s causing it you think? I’m taking it now again. Also is there anything that you can think of to help get rid of these migraines?
- Since you recommend taking the minerals with distilled water, how long after we take the minerals is it okay to drink tap or bottled water? Also, do you recommend avoiding tap water altogether?
- I still have problems with the selenium. Even in very small doses, I have to quit every couple of days. Cause I don't feel okay. Very dizzy, very tired, unable to concentrate. So I want to stay in bed, which doesn't help because I can't sleep. The potassium doesn't seem to help. What do you recommend?
- What do you think about hypoglycemia and low blood sugar?
- I'm having reactions already. Headaches, increased fatigue, muscle pain, irritability. I've increased the potassium to 400 milligrams a day and only taking 500 micrograms of B12 every other day. Are there any other recommendations to decrease reactions and how long do they usually last?
- Can any of the supplements that I'm now taking cause excessive sleepiness or brain fog? Even if just temporarily? Or possibly is this a side effect of taking too much?
