About two weeks ago, I finally started on the B12. After the fifth day I woke up not feeling that great mentally. Any thoughts on what might be happening or happened?

Yeah. So that can happen at first. That's, that's a pretty normal reaction in the beginning. So it takes some time for your brain to adjust to the methylcobalamin, because the thing is when you're deficient in methylcobalamin for an extended period of time, it actually results in the overproduction of dopamine and serotonin. So I can see that in the organic acid tests of different people. So when you're deficient and you're over producing serotonin and dopamine, your brain actually downregulates dopamine and serotonin receptors. Um and so you said, I think Clare, you said you're on antidepressants as well. Yeah. So, so that'll happen when you're on antidepressants as well. So then, so when you start correcting the methylcobalamin deficiency, there's this initial drop in dopamine serotonin, and then there's an increase in melatonin and adrenaline. So then when the serotonin and dopamine levels drop, it just takes some time for your brain to adjust to it. So it needs to reverse the receptor downregulation. So first you can just start feeling a bit depressed. And so that's why I recommend going slow start with a low dose and then also take breaks as necessary, which you are doing. So yeah, you just need to stay at a low dosage and then take days off, just give your brain some time to adjust over time to the methylcobalamin.
