Was looking at the pernicious anemia site. Presumably I could draw off 1000mcg rather than the 1200mcg they recommend?
Yes, regarding the B12 from Perniciousanemia.org, you can take less than the 1200 mcg that they recommend. I would even recommend starting lower than 1000 mcg at first, just to see how you react. Taking too much at the beginning could cause a reaction, so you'll want to start low and go slow. They recommend drawing 0.3 mL, which is 1200 mcg. But instead you could draw just 0.1 ml to start, which would be 400 mcg. Start there, and then you could increase to 0.2 mL (800 mcg), and then eventually to 0.3 mL (1200 mcg), depending on how you feel.
I also recently found out that Perniciousanemia.org obtains their methylcobalamin directly from Oxford Biosciences. So if you want, you can order directly from Oxford Biosciences here: https://oxfordbiosciences.com/store/product/vitamin-b12-methylcobalamin-serv/
Another client of mine has been ordering directly from Oxford Biosciences. It seems to be less expensive to order from them directly.
