How far away from food and other minerals should I be taking the selenium?

Yeah so just a reminder, you want to make sure you take the Selenium away from food. And then also away from Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, Copper, Vitamin C and Glutathione. I've found out that they interfere with the absorption of selenium. And I see better improvements in clients when they take it on an empty stomach away from food and away from supplements. So I would say take it at least 2 hours away from meals and supplements. 3 hours is ideal, but 2 hours would be good enough.

What I do and recommend is I take half the amount of selenium on an empty stomach when I wake up. And then I wait about 2 hours to eat. Then I take the other half on an empty stomach before bed. Because it is better to split the selenium up into 2 dosages per day, instead of just taking it once per day.

Now, you could take the selenium in the morning and eat food an hour later. One hour should be OK before. But that's only if absolutely necessary. If you're in a rush and really hungry.

However, if you take the selenium after eating, I would wait at least 2 hours. Because it takes time for the food in your stomach to be digested. So you have to wait longer. Maybe even 3 hours if you eat a big meal.
