Should I take iodide if my TSH is already within range?

Well, it depends on what you mean by "within range". If you mean within the reference range that the labs give you and your doctor. Then I would say it's still very likely you'll need to take iodine.

But if you're referring to my range, which is between 0.5 and 1.5. Then I would still say Yes. I would still take iodine even if it seems like you don't need it. But I would just take less. So I would take just 150 mcg, which is the lower end of my recommended dosage. And I would just stay at that dosage until further testing is done. Because you still want to make sure you're getting the recommended daily intake of iodine every day. There's no harm in that. But if it doesn't seem like you need it, then there's no point in taking more than that.

One other thing to point out is that sometimes people's TSH actually increases at first when they start working with me because your body is using up more T4 and T3 to produce FAD and FMN. So then your brain signals to your thyroid, using TSH, to produce more thyroid hormone to make up for it. So that's just something I wanted to mention. So don't be concerned if you actually see your TSH go up at first. It should drop back down later over time, as everything balances out.
