Thinking of trying marijuana. What are your thoughts? Will marijuana interfere with the protocol?
I'm not completely opposed to it. I'm not really a huge fan of it. There seems to be, there seems to be some reliable research to show that it's not great for the brain, which isn't too surprising. Now if you are going to use it, what I'd recommend is trying to get high CBD, low THC marijuana. So that seems to be better for people. So yeah, it won't interfere with the protocol per se. Because Sheila, if your main issue is anxiety and you want to get a handle on that, then I'm not opposed to you trying marijuana. But for anyone else, like if someone has brain fog or cognitive issues that they're trying to overcome, I would recommend trying to limit marijuana. So it really depends on the person and their situation, but yeah, overall I'm kind of on the fence about it. I don't think it's great, but I think in some circumstances it can be really helpful. So I would just say, try to find high CBD marijuana, because in some people, high THC marijuana or just regular marijuana, which tends to be higher in THC it can increase anxiety, it can cause paranoia, there is some research to suggest it can trigger psychosis in younger people. So anyways, it's just a tricky thing. I don't want to make a blanket statement and say it's fine and that everyone should use it. I think it really depends on the person, but yeah, high CBD seems to be much safer.
