What are your thoughts on adaptogens?
You can take adaptogens if you want. But they’re a band-aid approach. And they should really only be used short-term, for a limited period of time.
So they can sometimes help in times of stress, and they can help during periods of burnout. They can calm you down. They can increase your energy depending on what you need. They can help people get off psychiatric medications. They helped me get off my meds.
But they're like medications, they're herbal medications. So they just manage or cover up your symptoms. They don't, they don't really address why you're stressed or anxious or they don't address why you're tired, to begin with. So, I mean, you can try them, you can take them if you want, but I just feel like they're distractions. And they should really only be used for shorter periods of time.
