I’m taking 500 mcg of B12 every other day. I feel like I drink five espressos. How much potassium gluconate should I take? I must be super deficient.

Well, it depends on the person.

I know if someone really needs potassium when I see their hair test results.

But in general, I recommend starting with just 200 to 400 mg of potassium. Just take that once and see how you feel with it.

But you may need to take it multiple times throughout the day.

So you might need 400 mg, 3 or 4 times per day.

So that’s up to 1600 mg per day.

I was taking that amount after I first introduced the B12 years ago.

But it's hard to say exactly what dosage you need. It takes some experimentation to see what works best for you.

It can range from 200 mg per day to 1600 mg per day.

So I would start with a lower dosage and then increase over time.
