I know you want us to get sunlight, but what about red light therapy? Should I be doing that as well?

Well, I mean, if you're interested in doing red light therapy, you can. I believe I mentioned it when I'm talking about sleep in the week three module. But I'm just not convinced it... If you're looking to do it to improve your brain function or let's say you've had a brain injury and you want to use it to help the brain recover and heal, I'm not convinced it actually heals the brain. I think it's still a band-aid approach.

So the research I've seen, when people stop using red light therapy and they stop shining it on their brains, the benefits go away. So for example, if they have cognitive decline, it tends to return and then they're back to where they started.

So it doesn't really look like there are long-term benefits and healing from red light therapy. So that's why I don't really recommend it in the program. It's not a significant part of my program. It's just not the root cause and it doesn't get to the root cause, it doesn't fix it.

So personally I don't really need to use red light therapy anymore. I do sometimes because it's still a really great therapy. Especially during the winter. It's great. But I used to have to do it, and use it every day and I just don't see the point anymore because I feel fine without it.
