I will be going on a 16-day camping trip. I will be off everything for the 16-day trip and resume when home. What is the drawback to being off the supplement protocol for this time period and then picking back up?

If you’re going on a trip like that, you could just stop the supplements and then pick up where you left off when you’re back home. It’s OK to take breaks.

I often run out of the supplements. And I just take a week or two off. And I have no issues doing that. 

Of course, it is obviously best to just keep taking consistently every day, especially when you’re first starting out. But in situations like this, it’s OK to take a break and then just continue taking them again once you’re back home. 

It can take months to become significantly depleted in the minerals again, so I wouldn’t worry too much about taking a break.
