What reason should I give my doctor for requesting these additional tests?

Just tell your doctor you're working with a nutritionist or dietician, and the nutritionist would like to see these specific test results so that he can better help you. I mean, most doctors do want to help. Sometimes they can't help, but I've found that they still want to help. So if you have health issues, you say you'd like some tests done, they should run them for you. And then if they don't, then I would find another doctor. Some doctors are just difficult and they don't, they're just, they're just difficult. But if you explain that you're working with a nutritionist and they'd like to see these test results, most doctors will help you out with that. So that's what I'd suggest.

People have the most trouble getting their doctor to test for Total T4 and Total T3. And if your doctor doesn't cooperate, you can always order the required blood tests online from reputable blood test companies. There are several options available online.
